Curtain Wall Systems can be used where the design of a building requires the glazing span two or more floors of a façade to create the impression of a continuous wall of glass. This can be done both vertically and horizontally on the outside of the structure thereby maximizing the internal floor area.

With the use of high-performing, sound-reducing, tinted or reflective glass and concealed structurally glazed mullions, the appearance of the façade can be created to express horizontal or vertical lines. In many cases, the Curtain Wall System can be used to overclad existing buildings, giving them a totally new lease on life with a modern appearance.
Curtain Wall Systems offer a choice of stickform and unitised methods of manufacture and installation. Each system is unique and offers the building designer flexibility in design and appearance in keeping with current environment issues such as thermal efficiency, ventilation and natural light.
The Flush Glaze Systems are a versatile product that can be used in a variety of situations from the single-storey office/factory complex to multi-storey, high-rise apartments/office towers.
Originally designed in 1986 under the Oakley Commercial brand, with 100mm and 150mm range, the system has been used extensively in all parts of New Zealand and overseas and updated regularly since.
Already New Zealand’s leading solution for glass curtain walls, the highly versatile Flush Glaze range is now available in greater depths, giving superior strength and meaning increased spans can be accommodated before a larger base size is required.

Improved Strength & Performance
With deeper pockets that give increased glass ‘bite’, the new range exceeds New Zealand compliance requirements. Stack Joints capable of up to 20mm of movement and full perimeter seismic frames mean the facade is semi-isolated in the event of an earthquake.
As well as improving aesthetic, the new depths reduce time and cost to build, providing a highly efficient solution for the client.
Versatile Glazing Options
The updated product suite in some configurations can accommodate single or double-glazing, up to 32mm thick. Both captive and structurally-glazed options are available.
A1 Curtain Wall 150mm
The A1 Curtain Wall is a flexible, innovative, high performance, weathertight and cost effective Unitised Curtain Wall system to meet the demanding architectural requirements of today’s state of the art contemporary design building facades. The A1 has an optional clip on half round bead which can be surface finished to express the horizontal lines.
- 4-sided structurally glazed system, with option of additional bead fixing on panels
- Panelized assembly - panels to be fully factory assembled and glazed
- Elliptical faceting and faceting of tight radii (as small as 3.8 metres radius) to achieve the curved effect required by Architects and Developers
- Coupling of panels at split mullions and transoms has double Santoprene seals working on the pressure equalization principle to provide efficient sealing against water and air leakage
- Sashes structurally glazed and concealed in framing
- System takes both single-glazing and double-glazing
Curtain Wall 125mm
The 125mm Stickform Curtain Wall System has exposed mullions and transoms, the ability to be glazed internally or externally with single or double-glazed unit, and is designed for multiple stories.
Curtain Wall 160mm
The 160mm traditional stickform Curtain Wall System has mullions that can be structurally glazed or expressed glazed, with the option of incorporating other features such as aluminium cladding or granite inserts.
A standout feature of the 160mm curtain wall is its ability to be flexible in the creative application of uses. For example: a curved vertical façade creating a wave effect.
